Russian women: What is important

Do you know what is important for Russian ladies?

This post was written by a friend of mine. She is Polish, Russian and Ukrainian. In my opinion she is a very normal balanced view of dating and relationships, here is what she wrote and I am shocked by it.

She is going places in her life, she is not just some silly Russian or Polish girl, I think she will get her PhD in linguistics from a top school.

But I disagree with her post.  I added my own views on what Russian women want in {brackets}.

Every Russian woman

Like every other woman, Russian woman appreciate security and love which her man is providing. It is obvious that those two things are the most important.

Women always said, say and will say that: “I want my future husband to love and understand me.”

Financial security

The most popular requirement you will see in women’s questionnaires is “financially secure”. What means that you must have at least a stable job and be able to provide for a family of three members.

Having a stable job is good enough, but the better your financial situation, the easier you will make contacts with nice Russian ladies and the less hassle you will get from the USCIS (former INS) in bringing your fiancée into the country.

This does not mean that Russian women are after your money.
{Admin note, I would say love and only love not love and security is important. I guess I differ from her on this point. I live in Eastern Europe and do not want to export my wife to my USA.  Wow I am surprised she things this way}

Other factors in a relationship

However, women have suffered so much in Russia with everyday surviving, they want to make sure it never happens to them and their families again. A Russian wife will stick with you through any turn of fortune, whether you go bankrupt or hit a jackpot. But to consider you a viable option, she must be confident that you are not an unemployed hobo.

{Admin note: This is the 21st century only drinking guys are unemployed hobos.  If you are unemployed no dishonor, its how you live your life as a man.  Its how you use what God gives you on this earth in the humble service of others, not if you have a job or not}

Of course, your good financial standing may impress women at first, but after that the other factors will count:

You must develop a relationship that is good and this involves mostly emotional factors.
Your wealth or handsome appearance may possibly even have a negative effect.
{This I agree with, good looking guys are pretty boys and not really good looking, do you want a girl that looks like a barbie doll and in the first rainstorm her beauty is washed away}

You should insure her that she is the most important person in your life.

Love and commitment

Love for Russian women includes commitment. Since long distance relationships don’t make much sense without possibility of being together in the future, the women need assurance you are ready to offer this commitment. If you are not looking for a marriage partner, Russian ladies won’t take you seriously, because they are not looking for pen pals.

Meeting Russian women online

To achieve success you should know which things to avoid

These are:

Not trying to impress the women with the things you have. If you are well established in life, talk about that, but don’t make it your main point. I

Trying to avoid idioms or slang phraseology until you make sure that the woman is perfect in English.
{Great advice as a teacher of English be straight, think how hard it would be if someone speaks idiomatic Russian to you}.
Using a girl’s name a few times throughout your letter makes it more personal, but check carefully that you have changed it in all the places you used it before printing.

Not trying to persuade a woman that the other guys who write to her are going to waste her time.

{Agreed, do not worry about other guys, if you are the one she will not think of any one else}
Things you must never write about in the first letter: your divorce and how you felt about it, problems/successes with women you usually have, any other problems in current life, your bad/good experience of communication with Russian women seeking husbands by mail or personally, being taken by Internet dating scammers, chronic problems with health (exception: if you have serious handicaps or artificial body parts, or in a wheelchair, you should tell about it from the beginning or she will feel cheated), your anxiousness about losing your hair, detailed content of your work responsibilities, and any sexual questions. Some of these topics can be discussed later, but not in the very first letters.

Admin’s view on Russian women and what they want

{Look basically women are not there to be your shrink or your mommy, you should be their hero and rescue them in every sense of the word from their own self made purgatory}

{ Basically I disagree  with what my friend here writes.  I think women want love and only love.   Nothing else .  Love + security = not true love.   ie slum dog millionaire.  Only love should be what you look for and money is a very dirty thing.
If I meet a girl that wants security and love I say good luck and bye.  Only love matters.

My comments have been in{french brackets} and I left the original post unchanged. It is interesting to hear what a Russian girl is thinking, but me being an American living in Eastern Europe and traveling to Russian and Ukraine respectfully disagrees.  I think love and only love if what you should go for in a relationship with a Russian girl.  If she wants anything else, do not walk run away}.
