Russian songs for children
As far as I remember it was the most unusual and exciting Russian children song. I think when you read what actions are taking place to make it more funny, you will understand why I have always thought in such way.
The Hussars Are Coming
Ехали гусары
First, you should sit your baby on your knees like a horse and then bounce a baby saying:
The Hussars rode
The Uhlans rode
The Cossacks rode.
Ехали гусары
Ехали уланы,
Ехали казаки
Bounce slowly while saying:
At a slow pace, at a slow pace
Шагом, шагом
Bounce faster while singing this song:
At a gallop-gallop-gallop-
Галопом- галопом- галопом
Bounce very fast while saying and then The knees part and the baby falls into the gap between the legs, while the baby is supported by the adult’s arms. These actions occur while saying:
Bang! Down you go!
Бух в ямку!
